This winter's concert was wonderful! I loved our collaboration with the choir in Michigan Morn'. I really hope that we can do some more pieces with the choir in the future.
I was very pleased with myself on how I played in Green Sleeves and Sam's solo piece. Dance Bacchanal was a still a little difficult for me though. However, when I heard the recording in class I was pleasantly surprised to find we sounded amazing with only a few rough spots! I just wish I could have been able to play all of the notes.
Over all this was a great concert and a great way to end the year! Can't wait for festival season!

Concert Reflection
To prepare for the concert I practiced the harder parts on the pieces at home. After I had done that it helped me know the music better before I went to practice, so I wasn't trying to learn everything in class.
At the concert we did pretty good. The first piece by Mahler was good and extremely slow. However, I really felt like our musicality was very expressive. I was playing the top cello part in the works, this time. It was a good challenge for me that encouraged me to practice beyond my usual.
'Dance Macabre' was a very lively piece. My family really enjoyed it I was extremely proud of our concert master. You could tell that he had out in a ton of effort into his solos.

I finally have it posted!
Expressive Techniques for Orchestra

Adagietto
When I am using my laptop to video tape, it freaks out when it hears a note held out for pretty much anything longer than a half note, so please excuse the awful noise (besides my normal playing) that occurs.
